Young Alumni Gala
Mark your calendars! Friday, Aug. 22, 2025, from 7-10 p.m. is the СÖíÊÓƵ’s second-annual Young Alumni Gala! Get ready to dress to impress and join your fellow U СÖíÊÓƵ Alums under 40 for an unforgettable night of delicious food and drinks at the beautiful Hotel Haya.
The following awards will be given out during the reception:
Spartan Philanthropy Award
The Alumni Association presents this award to an alumnus who supports the University through philanthropy — giving back to the University on an annual basis.
Eligibility
To be eligible for an alumni award nomination, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Must have matriculated at the University and earned credit toward one of its degreesÌý
- Alumni cannot currently be employees of the University or current members of the Alumni Association Board
- Award recipients must be present at the award ceremony to receive the award in person
- The honoree cannot have previously received an award in the category
- Must have demonstrated philanthropic support to the University for over five years post-graduation — all gifts over $10 qualify
- Must be a current donor of The СÖíÊÓƵ
Spartan Volunteer Award
The Alumni Association presents this award to an alum who supports the University through volunteerism.
Eligibility
To be eligible for an alumni award nomination, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Must have matriculated at the University and earned credit toward one of its degreesÌý
- Alumni cannot currently be employees of the University or current members of the Alumni Association Board
- Award recipients must be present at the award ceremony to receive the award in person
- The honoree cannot have previously received an award in the category
- Must have spent at least 10 hours volunteering with the University in the past year
Social Spartan Award
The Alumni Association presents this award to an alum who supports the University through attending events and social media engagement.
Eligibility
To be eligible for an alumni award nomination, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Must have matriculated at the University and earned credit toward one of its degreesÌý
- Alumni cannot currently be employees of the University or current members of the Alumni Association Board
- Award recipients must be present at the award ceremonyÌý to receive the award in person
- The honoree cannot have previously received an award in the category
- Must have attended 5+ U СÖíÊÓƵ events in the past year
- Must follow and support all UT social media accounts (@utampaalumni and UT Alumni Association on Facebook)
